Everyone’s seen the film The Matrix (1999) by now surely.
It’s a revolutionary film that introduced the idea that maybe everything isn’t as it seems.
That the world we live in isn’t real..
That it is a dream world.
Just in case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t seen it, here’s the trailer:
The reason I mention The Matrix is because I was listening to an interesting piece of audio earlier on that started with Dave Sharpe (Co-founder of Empower Network) talking about how he got where he is today and this line stood out to me:
I wasn’t a victim of life or the president or a political party. I was a victim of my thoughts.
I was a victim of my thoughts.
The audio talked about how sometimes we are a victim of our thoughts and that success or a great improvement in our lives is just a “shift of thought” in the right direction away.
If we make that shift our lives could be so much better.
Most people bang their heads against a wall
Bang!
Bang!
Repeatedly banging their heads against a wall everyday trying to get to somewhere and they’re going nowhere. What’s even worse is that they’re doing the same thing every day and expecting a different result.
Albert Einstein once said “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”.
All they’d have to do is:
step to the side,
open the door,
and walk through to the other side.
Now the point I’m trying to make here is the world we live in is created by our thoughts.
Most people are trained from a young age to think,
“I need a job”.
“I have to work for somebody else”.
“I have to get up at 6am in the morning”.
Some people are happy doing this, others like myself, are not.
The good news is, there is a way out of The Matrix. I touched upon it in my previous post.
Have a read of this short dialogue:
Morpheus: I imagine that right now, you’re feeling a bit like Alice. Hmm? Tumbling down the rabbit hole?
Neo: You could say that.
Morpheus: I see it in your eyes. You have the look of a man who accepts what he sees because he is expecting to wake up. Ironically, that’s not far from the truth. Do you believe in fate, Neo?
Neo: No.
Morpheus: Why not?
Neo: Because I don’t like the idea that I’m not in control of my life.
Morpheus: I know *exactly* what you mean. Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. It is this feeling that has brought you to me. Do you know what I’m talking about?
Neo: The Matrix.
Morpheus: Do you want to know what it is?
Neo: Yes.
Morpheus: The Matrix is everywhere. It is all around us. Even now, in this very room. You can see it when you look out your window or when you turn on your television. You can feel it when you go to work… when you go to church… when you pay your taxes. It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth.
Neo: What truth?
Morpheus: That you are a slave, Neo. Like everyone else you were born into bondage. Into a prison that you cannot taste or see or touch. A prison for your mind.
Have you ever thought this way?
If you’ve ever thought there was more to life or this isn’t the way things were meant to be.. You’re right!
There is another world out there.
The real world.
Where anything is possible.
Where your time is your own and money isn’t a problem.
Are you ready to be unplugged from The Matrix?
Are you ready to be unplugged from The Matrix?
Some people aren’t.
Some people will even fight to defend it.
If you’re ready to take the first step to unplugging yourself from The Matrix and living in a world of freedom. In the real world. Click this link.
But be warned, once you see the truth you can’t go back.
I can promise you though, it may be the best decision you ever make..
See you on the inside!
To your success,
Michael Bowker
